Day 25:  Connect the dots.

I decided to take this challenge and add an abstract twist to it.

I started with an abstract heart made with dots taken from a magazine.

Then I framed parts of my favorite paintings.

Isn't she lovely?

Day 18:  Write a 10 word science fiction story.


I decided to work on day 18 today because I am going to a social skills training in Glenwood Springs on Tuesday.  I did not want to feel rushed in my challenge and with today off I could do 2 challenges.

Is it wrong to crack yourself up?

Day 17

Day 17:  Make a print by cutting up a potato and use it to stamp on a material of your choice.

Day 16

Day 16:  Make something out of clay.

Odin and I love to play with clay so I asked him what he would like to make with me.  He wanted to make a under-the-sea scene.  He made a angler fish for the project.  I have been having the best time with this book and to share a challenge with Odin was just the cherry and sprinkles on top.

Yes, nipples were necessary, ha ha!

I have a thing for hearts.

Day 14: Write a Haiku.

Let's be honest with one another, when was the last time you wrote a Haiku?  I'm thinking high school and that was quite some time ago.  I gave it my best shot and here it is:

Day 13:  What can you do with just a dollar?  Use a dollar bill as your inspiration today.

Today was one of those difficult days.

A day that you wish calgon could really take you away.

I needed a boost of spirit and decided to make this:

Day 12:  Use your non-dominant hand today and paint.

This was a double challenge for me because I did indeed use my left hand and I painted with water color which is not my forte.

Day 11:  Camouflage.  Create or alter something so that is disappears into its background.

Day 10:  Work with watercolors

I decided to take my challenge to my classroom and for art we worked with watercolors. Fun was had by all!

Day 9:   Make something with your breakfast.

Odin requested pancakes this morning and I wanted to make him a special pancake.  I used my stamp from my previous challenge and made him this:

Day 8:  Today, make a stamp.

Wow, how hard could it be to make a stamp?  Well, when do not have a potato (or a new unused sponge) in your house it can be rather difficult.  I did find out today that you can not make a stamp with a yam.  Yam bad, potato good.

Finally it worked!
